L. Franklyn Elliott, M.D. has provided exceptional plastic and reconstructive surgery results to his Atlanta area patients since 1983.  Serving Atlanta’s Northside and Alpharetta areas, Dr. Elliott performs a range of facial, body and breast plastic surgery procedures.   He has a specialized interest in developing new cosmetic surgery techniques, breast reconstruction procedures, and post bariatric cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Elliott uses his many affiliations with professional medical associations such as the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons to teach and demonstrate advanced surgical techniques like the scarless latissimus technique for breast reconstruction after mastectomy, a personal technique for breast reconstruction in patients who have previous breast implants and now have breast cancer as well as the use of  Quill™ knotless suturing.  Among the numerous procedures he offers, Dr. Elliott has used his surgical experience to further develop and enhance procedures such as the short scar facelift, endoscopic brow lift, and breast reconstruction for cancer patients who have undergone previous breast augmentation  (mammaplasty).

Reconstructive breast surgery remains one of Franklyn Elliott, M.D.’s passions.  The former director and current co-director of The Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium, Dr. Elliott performs both immediate and delayed breast reconstruction using a breast implant or tissue expander; TRAM flap breast reconstruction; DIEP flap reconstruction; or scarless latissimus flap surgery for women who have undergone mastectomy or breast cancer removal surgery.  Dr. Elliott also has extensive experience in breast revision surgery to further enhance the cosmetic results or address breast surgery complications from a previous breast augmentation or breast reconstruction surgery.

An expert in the field of body contouring (liposuction), Dr. Elliott has performed this procedure since its invention in the 1980’s.
