Can I Combine a Breast Augmentation with Other Cosmetic Procedures?

Undergoing a cosmetic surgery procedure is not a matter for patients to take lightly. Cosmetic surgery is an important, oftentimes life-changing decision that requires considerable thought and preparation. That’s why the idea of combining cosmetic procedures can seem overwhelming for some people. However, combining surgeries can be a great way for patients to safely and effectively treat multiple problem areas at once as long as the patient is healthy enough for multiple surgeries (the number of and type of surgeries may vary on a patient to patient basis). I believe combining cosmetic procedures can provide a number of outstanding benefits including more comprehensive aesthetic results, less downtime needed for recovery, and potentially lower costs. Among all of the cosmetic surgeries I perform, breast augmentation is among the most commonly combined with an additional procedure.

Many patients choose to combine their breast augmentation with a tummy tuck and liposuction as part of a mommy makeover. A mommy makeover is able to help women rejuvenate their appearance and reclaim the trimmer body contour of their youth after pregnancy, weight fluctuation, or other changes that occur over time. Although they are commonly performed separately, breast augmentation surgery can be combined with a breast lift as well. During this combined cosmetic breast procedure, implants are added to the breasts to provide additional volume, while excess skin is removed and the existing breast tissue is lifted and reshaped to better position and support the implants. The end result is a higher and fuller breast contour. In some cases, breast augmentation can also be combined with facial procedures like eyelid surgery or my signature short scar facelift.

For many patients, combining cosmetic procedures is the key to unlocking the best possible plastic surgery experience.
