Dr. Elliott to Participate at the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons’ Breast Surgery Symposium

Dedicated to teaching colleagues and other plastic surgeons, Dr. Franklyn Elliott frequently attends and participates at national and international plastic and reconstructive surgery conferences. From January 11th to 13th, Dr. Elliott will be attending and lecturing at the 29th Annual Breast Surgery Symposium hosted by The Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (SESPRS) and Northside Hospital. This annual meeting held in Atlanta will feature live demonstrations of breast surgery techniques, expert led discussion panels and a question and answer segment. Dr. Elliott will be lecturing on breast reconstruction, specifically Methods to Make Bilateral Pedicle TRAM’s More Successful. He will also be moderating panels discussing breast revision surgery, as well as the use of acellular dermal matrices in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery.

Passionate about breast reconstruction surgery, Dr. Elliott developed and introduced a revolutionary mammoplasty technique as well as refined the TRAM flap method, developed by Atlanta Plastic Surgery Founder Dr. Carl Hartrampf. Dr. Elliott is also looking forward to moderating the symposium’s breast revision panels as he is highly experienced in breast revision surgery to correct breast surgery complications or further enhance aesthetic results.

Dr. Elliott is Part of Breast Reconstruction Panel for Plastic Surgery 2012: New Orleans

Coming up at the end of October, Dr. Franklyn Elliott will be attending Plastic Surgery The Meeting from October 26^th-30^th in New Orleans. This annual conference will feature numerous panels and lectures about plastic and reconstructive surgery, scientific paper sessions, small group interactive sessions, and instructional courses.

Dr. Elliott enjoys both attending and participating in various plastic surgery events. Just this past summer he was able to travel to Rome and Uzbekistan to share his passion for teaching with other surgeons about the latest plastic and reconstructive breast surgery techniques and technology.

In New Orleans, Dr. Elliott will be part of the event’s panel discussing comprehensive breast reconstruction. This three hour course will review all methods of breast reconstruction, including latissimus reconstruction, implant reconstruction and TRAM flap reconstruction. Other topics that will be discussed during the course include patient selection, management of complications, and methods for secondary correction including nipple-areolar reconstruction.

Dr. Elliott finds these conferences important as they provide the opportunity for plastic surgeons from all over to share thoughts and ideas to continually improve the plastic surgery field. He is looking forward to interacting with colleagues, sharing his knowledge, and will be sure to report the highlights when he returns from The Big Easy.
